Restaurant Damansara Hokkien Mee

Hi All! Happy New Year 2009! Sorry for not updating my blog recently because I have back to Penang for my long vacation. And now, I have back to work! My first review for 2009 will be Hokkien Mee @ Damansara Utama - Uptown. It just around the corner from the Damansara Utama Police station.


As per restaurant name as above, they are famous in Hokkien Mee and you can see there are lots of peoples coming for their hokkien mee and other dishes as well. All the foods were delicious, it's a good place for dinner and supper! ^^

Dang dang dang~ Famous Hokkien Mee! It's delicious and yummy for dinner, not bad oh!

Kopitiam 23

Today went to Damansara Perdana for lunch with my buddy and we went to this Kopitiam 23. Kopitiam 23 is a restaurant which selling Malaysian foods such as Asam laksa, Fish Head Curry Rice, Asam fried rice and etc etc.. So got a picture in your mind now?

For non-smoker you can sit inside and for smoker you may choose to sit at outside.

P.s.: Smoking is bad for your health!

It comes with vege, brinjal, assam chicken and keropok too.. It's a good combination of assam chicken and brinjal because I love to eat brinjal! lolx

San Francisco Steakhouse - 2nd review

Hi All, apologize that quite sometimes I did not post anything on the blog due to busy on my work this day. Today, would like to post my 2nd review on San Francisco Steakhouse which have been last Tuesday for my ex-colleague farewell lunch @ Mid Valley.

It looks a bit simple and not much X'mas feels for me.. I prefer white christmas. What do you think?

Come with soup of the day for set meal of RM16.90

Tuesday set meal with choice of Lamb Shoulder served with grilled vegetables and fries.

The lamb is tender and juicy yet not disappoint me, I'm satisfy with my set meal of da day.. ^^*

The other set meal for Tuesday will be Grilled Salmon served with boiled potato and vegetables. I did not try on the grilled salmon and my ex-colleagues didn't comment on the set meal as well. Hmm.. I think it just normal as what we expected ya?

For those who wanna go and have a try, you still can go now as I believe the promotion is still available. Enjoy ur meal!

San Francisco Steakhouse

Received an email from a friend of mine and get to know that San Francisco Steakhouse having set meal promotion @ RM16.90 only. Included soup of the day, free flow of soft drink and main course. Thus, decided to try it out while celebrating QQ chinese birthday on last Sunday.

You may click on the picture to enlarge it for better view. Set meal promotion available on everyday and each of the day they will have different choices of set meal. As Sunday meal you can go for Sizzling Beef and Pan-fried Dory Fillet. Of course, if you don't feel like taking this 2, you may go for other set meal which available on everyday.

We decided to heading towards to Mid Valley, San Francisco Steakhouse having our set meal at Sunday noon.

Don't feel like going for their set meal? Ala-cart is always available for you..

Sprite or Coke available for free flow of soft drink.

Set Meal 1: Sizzling Beef, grilled beef rump served with grilled tomato, corn, fries and brown sauce. Unfortunately, I didn't take beef.. thus no comment for me, as following was commented by my friend: hmm.. normal lur, not what I expected.. >.+"

Set Meal 2: Pan-fried Dory Fillet, served with boiled potatoes and vegetables. A very small portion of dory fillet, not that worthy..

Set Meal 3: Fish & Chips, Crispy battered fish fillet served with tartar sauce, coleslaw and fries.

桂林海鲜餐馆, Restoran Makanan Laut Kwai Lam

Yesterday night one of my friend brought me to Kwai Lam Seafood Restaurant eating my beloved crabs @ Kampung Baru Subang and I guess my calories in my body has break the new record again this month. lolx

I have been there since 3 years ago with my uncles and family, thus I still remember they are famous on Fried Chicken Wing, Ikan Bakar and Crabs. Hence, I would like to try again on these yummylicious foods!

Kwai Lam Seafood Restaurant located at Kampung Baru Subang, it's somewhere around Old Subang Airport.. Hmm.. Nope! Should be few kilometers away from Old Subang Airport,yea. It might take 10-15 minutes after passby the airport. p.s. (Tower - RM0.20/each)

Their own made Herbal Tea - Lemon + Lou Han Guo drink (RM2.50/each), a very good combination of drink and good for thirsty me. >.+"

There you go~! This is their famous Fried Chicken Wings (RM2/each), we ordered small portion on that night due to there is only 2 of us to share all the dishes.

Lou Shu Fun for 2 (RM5)

Tang~Tang~Tang~~ We have ordered "Nai Yau Crabs" on that night (RM35). At first when it served, I thought they have serve it wrongly as it looks like Salted Egg Crabs because there is no lotsa "Nai Yau" on the plate.

I guess I have finished almost 1 1/2 crabs by myself on that night and it's so delicious because the crabs got lotsa meat inside, It took long time for me to finish 1 1/2 crabs on that plate. =.+"

FYI: Minimum 2 crabs for each order.

Ikan Pari Bakar (RM13.50) I myself seldom order Ikan Bakar while I'm in KL because it's abit pricey. Anyway, if you don't like to try on Ikan Pari (Stingray, 蒲鱼), you may go for their "Ikan Tilapia - 非洲鱼", a good choice tho.

Friendster

Went to Damansara Perdana had lunch with my best buddy again and this time we have decided to try out at this - everyone knows name - Friendster. Yea, however this is not the friend finder friendster, this is a cafe which located at Damansara Perdana, guess it won't sounds strange for some of you here.

Friendster Cafe is a very comfortable place for you to dine-in or even have some tea with your close friends, colleagues or even loves one. You can choose to sit on their sofa after your tiring work and get some beer with your buddy too.

Friendster word all around in the cafe. ^_~

Both of us go for their set lunch 1: Braised whole chicken leg comes with rice and some vegetables (RM12.90)

Their chicken is so tender and the sauce is just nice to eat with the rice, I have enjoyed it very much.

Their drink for set lunch will be cold/hot tea or coffee for your choice, you may add additional RM3 in order to upgrade to Ice Lemon Tea.

We have pay additional RM3 as well in order to try on their Dessert of the day~Friendster corn ice cream. So yummy~! ^^*

Beside, you may pay additional RM3 to get their soup of day, salad and so on.. Check it out on their set lunch menu list. Of course, set lunch will be only available on lunch time, I believe they got much more delicious and mouth watering dishes for ala cart food, will try it out next!

Frontera Bar & Grill

Went to Jaya One having dinner again, and this time I have decided to go to Frontera Bar & Grill, a Maxican restaurant give it a try.

As heard, Frontera served the best Margarita in town however I did not try on their Margarita on that night, just go for normal Ice Lemon Tea after my 12 hours work.. >.+"

We have tried on 3 different dishes on that night and all pick from chef recommended in the Menu. Taquitos de Pollo (RM19.95), an appetizer with chicken wrapped in corn tortillas and served with green sauce and sour cream.

Most of the menu list best recommended food will be beef, as I didn't take beef thus I have go for chicken.

Main course: I have forgotten what's the name of this dish. It comes with chicken wrapped with lots of cheese and served with special sauce and Mexican Rice (RM28.95)

This is another Frontera chef recommeded salad, comes with chicken breast, vegetable and sour cream. For me this is just a normal salad, nothing special.
